Family Life and Lessons

The following is a recent exchange I had with my 17 year old son on facebook. I needed a hanky after I read it. I am thankful for God's grace and blessing in my family.

From Facebook after returning home from a Pastors Conference...

I remember when I got this poster. I remember you signing me out of school early to go to Halloween Horror Nights, even though you don't share the obsession. I remember looking for a hotel that night and finding some kids from up north's wallet. And I remember you taking me to see Back To The Future the next morning, even though you don't share my obsession with that either. Ugh. Talking to you is better than what I imagine talking to Mr. Feeny is like. I am so thankful that you are my father. Thanks for the books :P

Matthew Altman- The " ugh" is connected to the sentence ahead of it, not behind it. FYI

  • David Altman Wow Matthew Altman comparing me to Mr Feeny is a real compliment because I know your obsession with Boy Meets World...I am proud you are my son and always enjoy spending time with you. You are welcome for the books. I LOVE YOU.

  • Matthew Altman Mr Feeny is so cool. I want a notebook just filled with his best quotes. Like in the cabin episode

  • Matthew Altman I need to buy a new notebook.
